Originally built in 1879 this beautiful Victorian property was formerly used as a private residential dwelling before being transformed into the Grosvenor Hotel in 1990. It is situated just 50 meters from the Plymouth Hoe and just 200 meters from the City Centre. Hotel is located in 3 buildings, each with a separate staircase. There are 40 Bedrooms in total. It has six floors, including a basement and all rooms (except for Standard Family of 5 and one Standard Family of 3 Room) are up at least one flight of stairs. Each flight of stairs is ten steps. Unfortunately, there is no lift at the hotel.
All halls, stairs, landings and corridors are carpeted. All these areas are well lit with ceiling lights. All stairs have handrails.

The Breakfast Room is accessible from 2 entrances. Entrance 1 is from the Main entrance, initially there are 6 steps, and then a further 8 steps with a handrail. Entrance 2 is through Reception and there are 6 steps and then a further 9 steps.
